Aesthetic, Functional and Cost-Effective Facade Solutions
Capped facade systems are an ideal solution for projects seeking both durability and architectural simplicity in exterior facade applications. The frame formed by the aluminum profiles visible on the outer surface gives the structure a modern and orderly aesthetic.
These covers, which appear to be 50 mm wide, have many different geometric cross-sections. The application of this system, which has many cover alternatives, is as follows; the glass placed on the aluminum sub-construction whose adjustment is completed is first compressed by screwing the press profile into the appropriate slots and ensuring tightness, then the assembly process is completed by placing the cover profile in the desired cross-section into its slot. On the covered facade, the heat, sound and water insulation of the mechanically connected profiles in the glass relationship is provided with EPDM wicks. In this system, the need for wing opening is met by profiles that we call wing adaptor profiles. It is possible to open the wing at the desired location with the glasses bonded to these profiles with structural silicone. Wings, which are generally preferred as reverse transoms, can be arranged by making the necessary detailed changes according to customer requests. If desired, needs that may arise over time due to architectural or environmental reasons can be adjusted. It is possible to convert the covered facade system into a semi-covered facade system in the light of the sun.
What is a Covered Facade?
A covered facade system is a classic type of curtain wall where glass panels are placed on an aluminum carrier frame and fixed from the outside with aluminum profiles. When you look at the exterior, vertical and horizontal aluminum cover profiles are seen between the glass surfaces. Thanks to this structure, the system becomes both robust and easy to apply.
